Broken Angel
Recreation of a Matt Twomey lot tee that was created for the Telluride Grateful Dead shows on August 15th & 16th, 1987. The graphic has been precisely recreated from scratch by Matt Twomey himself; having lost the original screens close to two decades ago. The ruins translate to "All the years combine, they melt into a dream. A broken angel sings, from a guitar."
The original offering this summer was for an edition of 144, akin to the original run, and sold out entirely over the span of 8 shows. There are 60 total for offer here, and then the screens are going back in the Disney vault (destroyed).
Sizes S-3XL. Printed on durable, 7.5 oz LA Apparel. Limit 2 per order/address.
Three color screenprinting executed by Zach Quella @lowgrade.life. Shirts are being printed now.
Ships in 2-3 weeks.
Matt is both thrilled and humbled by the response to Broken Angel and would like to thank the tenacity of deadheads for unwavering interest, 36 years later. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
